Updates contents page

This the process of editing my contents page. I was told to add more images on my contents page and also enalarge my logo.  I was going to publish this on blogger after I had read over comments on the contents page. I had forgotten to add in regulars to contents page.

 

After

I had looked at my mistake and had added in my regulars at the bottom of the contents page. I think overall my contents page is really good, there has been a massive improvement from the previous contents page and the negative comments have improved my contents massively and I like the improvements that have been made.

Updated Front Cover

On the front cover I was told to improve my mastehad by making it larger. Since I have made the changes, I can see the difference from before and after. The logo was enlarged - It looks much better now that the logo is enlarged, it clearly shows viewers what the magazine is called. Before it was smaller and didn't stand out as it was supposed to.

Evaluation on My Feedback

Today we were told to give our classmates feedback on their music magazine - this included the feedback on the front cover, DPS and contents page. 

I had received very good feedback on my DPS and my front cover which was a great to hear. My class mates especially like my colour scheme , my images and my layout. I was very pleased with this feedback as they were part of the main elements of producing a good magazine. In my contents page I didn't get that much good feedback and probably was my weakest point of my magazine. "The front cover image is the same as the contents page....you should add more pictures on the contents page" - this was a frequent comment that i had received. The image on my front cover and my contents page are different due to the fact that the model has a different facial expression. Perhaps i will need to add a different image in a different location or do a photo shoot in the studio. I would consider this comment and try and book the studio if i have time(I'll probably use a different model). It was also mentioned that i need to add in more regulars and lacking a little information on my contents page. 

In order for me to improve my magazine i will be making some changes that were suggested and some changes that i see that will need to be made. 

DPS

This is my DPS for my magazine. This is one of my favourite documents that I produced as I put in a lot of effort and time in creating this. Lots of people that saw my DPS before the images were added were very intrigued by it - with the images added it looks more of a DPS that you will see in a magazine.

The DPS shows a obvious indication of who the DPS is about. I had added in several images to the DPS as its good to show a range of pictures of the artist instead of one picture.

MY FRONT COVER

 

 

This is the final result of my front cover. My personal view on my front cover is that it was a success as I was able to add all the magazine features and my layout is very professional and presentable. I was able to use the colour scheme as planned and did everything that I had planned. The front cover to be.

Before I uploaded this front cover, I wasn't going to add any coverlines to the front cover as I wanted the front cover to be simple - after analysing my work I decided to add in the coverlines as it will brighten up the front cover as the main image is lacking colour because its in black and white. I'm very pleased that I added the coverlines to the front cover as it looks more of a magazine than a poster - by not adding the coverlines it shows just your basic skills and not your creativity.

Overall, I am very pleased with what I have produced and I hope that I will get many positive feedback from it.

Audience feeback

When I had did my presentation, Vanessa had asked the class for feedback about my magazine proposal.

Positive feedback:

- I had a good colour scheme(including masthead)
- How I was going to make my magazine different (before I had changed it)
- Chosen genre (Hip-House)

Negative feedback:

- The font of the masthead is slated and makes it harder for viewers to read.

Changes that can be made:

- Someone suggested that instead of having two Gs in Raggeek that I can make it into one and make it Bold.

My Thoughts

My personal response to my feedback is that, I have taken the negative feedback to account and believe that my masthead slated and may make it harder for some viewers to read. However, I strongly disagree with the statement as when I presented my mastheads to other people they were able to read the masthead and liked the font that I had chosen for my magazine. Despite the fact that only two people in my class agreed with the negative statement, I will go with the risk of still having the same masthead as it suits my genre and looks attractive.

I was very pleased with the positive feedback, I was especially pleased that I wont have to make much changes without my view on it. All I need to do is keep up the good work and view my work to see if I need to make any changes.
